…about a place that has long become more than just a bar.




 

There are places in Berlin that you do not simply enter, you immerse yourself in them.

Mein Haus am See is one of those rare spaces where the metropolis seems to hold its breath for a moment, only to pulse anew the very next. Since its opening, our bar at Rosenthaler Platz has become a piece of Berlin’s identity: a place of encounter, of night, of chance, of taste, and yes, of love.

Those who climb in through the large window, our iconic entrance, step not merely into a room, but into a distinct atmosphere. Soft light falls onto the vintage furniture of the 1960s, the sort on which Andy Warhol might have sat. One sinks into it and exhales.

The tiered seating gallery offers a view that turns the bar into a small theatre stage. A different play unfolds here every evening: sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, sometimes bursting with energy, sometimes effortlessly relaxed.

Mein Haus am See is neither a classic bar nor a simple club, it is a wild hybrid, a sexy in-between. A place where the night feels like its own physical state, beginning earlier than expected and ending later than planned. Guests have long praised this blend of ease, style, and vibrancy, Berlin locals as well as visitors from around the world. Review platforms such as Clubmap, Top10Berlin, Yelp, Resident Advisor, RestaurantGuru, and Gästeliste030 repeatedly highlight our unmistakable atmosphere, the cool staff (sometimes a little too cool), the eclectic mix of people, and that elusive yet instantly tangible “good vibe” that defines our bar, our club.

We currently open our doors from 4:30 p.m., and with that opening, a small city story begins anew each night. The rooms fill slowly. Voices weave together. Glasses clink. A DJ begins to build his set.

The music moves along the walls, blends with conversations, and at some point all these individual moments fuse into that feeling our guests so often describe: something between home and adventure, between wild intoxication and gentle letting-go.

Downstairs in Cosmic Kaspar, our club space, our engine room, our forbidden garden, our wonderland, the night deepens its own rhythm and begins to throb… there, in warm, muted light and beneath vibrating basslines. Here, time and space blur into that unmistakable Berlin tempo: different every night, yet always familiar.

You may also book this part of our house privately, just as you can book any of our rooms. Use Mein Haus am See as your own private club, as your personal event space for corporate functions, birthday parties, Christmas celebrations, weddings, film shoots, concerts, readings, comedy nights, for anything you need, desire, imagine, or dream of.

And if you cannot find the door to the club right away…

just before the restrooms, turn left, our hidden door has an eye and recognizes you by your heart.

Our Haus am See is a place between worlds, difficult to explain yet instantly felt. A room for spontaneous evenings, for long conversations, for encounters, for nights that linger. Perhaps that is our secret: we are not a concept, we are a feeling.
